Odesa region allows round-the-clock transit to Moldova and Romania

Ukraine’s Odesa region has lifted curfew restrictions for transit vehicles heading to international border crossings with Moldova and Romania. The decision applies to all types of vehicles travelling in both directions.

Transit is now permitted on state roads from the Kyiv highway via the Odesa bypass to the Palanca, Starokozache, Orlivka and Reni international border crossings, according to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.

Vehicles travelling along these routes to the border or in the opposite direction will therefore be able to continue moving during curfew hours. Previously, nighttime restrictions imposed additional time constraints on transit traffic through the region.

The Odesa Regional Military Administration said the decision is primarily intended to facilitate border crossings with Moldova and Romania and ensure smoother traffic through international checkpoints.

The changes are particularly important for transit logistics through southern Odesa region, which provides routes to Moldova, Romania and Danube border crossings. Lifting nighttime restrictions should allow more efficient use of road routes and reduce potential delays for vehicles heading to the border.
