NIBULON is expanding cargo transportation volumes on the Danube River, broadening the international reach of its logistics business. Following its entry into the Middle and Upper Danube markets in 2025, NIBULON has launched a new route involving Moldovan ports.
The first operation implemented a comprehensive logistics scheme: a vessel traveled the route Izmail (Ukraine) – Galați (Romania), transporting 3,600 tons of metallurgical slag. After unloading, the vessel proceeded to the Port of Giurgiulești (Moldova), where it was loaded with 5,000 tons of rapeseed for delivery to Constanța (Romania). The total cargo volume for this voyage exceeded 8,600 tons.
A two-way logistics scheme has also been established: grain shipments from Izmail to Bulgarian ports, followed by backhaul transport of mineral fertilizers from Serbian ports to the Port of Giurgiulești (Moldova). This approach minimizes empty voyages and increases fleet utilization efficiency.
NIBULON’s own river fleet enables the company to handle various types of cargo: agricultural products, fertilizers, slag, and metals, while flexibly adapting routes to market needs.
In total, in 2025, NIBULON transported over 110,000 tons of cargo via river. The company continues to expand its presence on the Middle and Upper Danube and increase cargo volumes.
