Argentina exported 5.14 mln tons of corn in July 2026, setting a new monthly record. The previous high was recorded only in April this year, when the country shipped 5.08 mln tons to foreign markets, according to the Rosario Grain Exchange.
Since the start of the MY 2025/26, from March through July, Argentina’s corn exports have already reached 22.21 mln tons. Strong shipment volumes are helping the country strengthen its position in the global market, where it remains one of the world’s three largest corn exporters.
Against the backdrop of strong season results, the Rosario Grain Exchange raised its forecast for Argentina’s corn crop by 2.5 mln tons to 70.5 mln tons. Analysts expect the current season to be historic for the country in terms of both production and exports.
At the same time, frequent rainfall is delaying the completion of the harvest by slowing grain drying and fieldwork. As of mid-August, 89% of the corn area had been harvested, 8 percentage points behind the five-year average pace.
Despite harvest delays, the large crop is supporting Argentina’s strong export potential. Record shipments are increasing corn supplies on the global market and intensifying competition among the world’s leading exporters.
