On the night of October 5-6, the civilian vessel PARESA under the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis was damaged during a nighttime missile-drone attack by Russia near one of the berths in the Pivdenny seaport, AMPU reported .
A ballistic missile hit the open hold of the ship loaded with corn. There were about 6,000 tons of Ukrainian corn on board, which was supposed to go to Italy the very next morning. None of the 15 crew members, citizens of Egypt and Syria, were injured, the report said.
As noted in AMPU, after the attack on the ship, Russia announced the destruction of the military cargo.
“However, as before, this information is not true. Photographs from the scene of the incident eloquently testify to the true nature of the cargo,” the AMPU added.
