NIBULON Contributed to the Establishment of the Agency for Humanitarian Demining of Water Areas Consortium

NIBULON signed a memorandum and contributed to the establishment of the Agency for Humanitarian Demining of Water Areas Consortium.  

Alongside NIBULON, the Consortium brings together representatives of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, the International Business People Club NGO, and the West-East Group, which specializes in engineering and technological solutions.

The partners will work together on humanitarian demining of water areas, the development of technological solutions, research and innovation, implementation of standards, personnel training, and international projects.

The partnership brings together business, academia, and civil society around a shared goal – strengthening Ukraine’s capacity for humanitarian demining of water areas and developing systemic solutions to restore the safe use of waterways.

For NIBULON, participation in the Consortium is a continuation of its ongoing efforts to develop its humanitarian demining operations. Its partnership with DEG Impulse gGmbH has played an important role in this work. With the support of DEG Impulse, NIBULON established a professional demining unit and strengthened its technical capabilities, including GCS-200 mechanical demining machines.

In 2025, cooperation between NIBULON and DEG Impulse entered a new phase – the partners began developing infrastructure and training specialists for humanitarian demining of water areas in Ukraine. In July 2026, NIBULON obtained the relevant certification, confirming its professional readiness to carry out such operations.

Participation in the Agency for Humanitarian Demining of Water Areas Consortium marks the next stage of this work – bringing together practical experience, infrastructure, and scientific and engineering expertise to build Ukraine’s sustainable capacity for demining its water areas.
