Farmers in all regions of Ukraine are actively planting rapeseed and have started planting winter crops for grain. As of the beginning of September, winter crops were planted through 699.7 thsd ha, of which 654.9 thsd ha with rapeseed and 44.8 thsd ha with grains (42.5 thsd ha with wheat, 1.2 thsd ha with barley and rye – 1.1 thsd ha), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported on September 5.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy noted that the majority of farmers do not plan to significantly change the area planted under winter crops in 2024 compared to the previous season.
