Ukraine has reached an agreement with Moldova on a 50% discount on rail transit tariffs for Ukrainian cargo through the end of 2026.
This was reported by the Ukrainian government portal.
“This is another practical solution for Ukrainian exporters amid Russian attacks in the Black Sea,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said.
He added that the new terms will apply from August 10 through the end of 2026.
In addition, starting August 17, the route of the Kyiv–Chisinau train will be changed under an agreement between the two countries. The change will make transfers to Chisinau Airport more convenient and significantly faster for Ukrainian passengers.
