As of June 1, 5.472 mln ha were planted with grain and pulses in Ukraine, which exceeds the forecast (5.457 mln ha), the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported.
In particular, as of reporting date, the following crops were planted:
– spring wheat – 269.5 thsd ha (94% done);
– spring barley – 766.1 thsd ha (74%);
– peas – 136.1 thsd ha (113%);
– oats – 145.6 thsd ha (99%);
– corn – 3.893 mln ha (108%);
– buckwheat – 106.1 thsd ha (92%);
– millet – 46.1 thsd ha (77%).
The planting of oilseeds continues and as of June 1, sunflower seeds were planted through 5.043 mln ha (89% of the forecast), and soybeans – through 1.739 mln ha (94%).
