For nine months of 2019, the shipment volumes of grain cargoes in the seaports of Ukraine increased by 36.9% compared with the same period last year, and totaled over 37.6 mln tonnes, declared the State Enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).
In addition, in January-September the general cargo transshipment of seaports increased to 114.5 mln tonnes, up 19.4% compared with the same period last year.
The exports of Ukrainian products still remained the basis of positive dynamics of the general cargo turnover by ports. In particular, in the reporting period the transshipment of export cargoes increased by 23.5%. For 9 months of 2019, the imports increased by 13%. Also, the transit volumes increased by almost 2.4%.
In addition, in the reporting period the Ukrainian seaports processed 8733 vessels, up 0.7% or 59 ship entries compared with January-September of 2018.
