“The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection received a letter from the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China regarding consideration by the Department of Animal and Plant Quarantine of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China of technical materials and video materials on the conditions of enterprise operations and laboratory testing capabilities for the export of Ukrainian pulses. Following the review by the Chinese side of the technical and video materials, Ukraine has been granted permission to export pulses to China,” the statement said.
The agency said the General Administration of Customs of the PRC has so far registered two Ukrainian pulses storage and processing enterprises that took part in the audit and from which, under the Protocol, pulses exports from Ukraine to China may be carried out. The information is published on the official website of the GACC.
In addition, three business entities have been included by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the list of enterprises planning to export pulses to the PRC. Four business entities have been included in the list of enterprises growing pulses for export to the PRC.
“To carry out exports of Ukrainian pulses to the PRC, enterprises engaged in cultivation, storage, processing and export must comply with the requirements of the Road Map. This document defines the key steps for entering the Chinese market,” the statement added.
It was also noted that the necessary documents for exporting pulses to the PRC are available on the web portal of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
