“Ukrainian farmers are completing their harvest for the fourth consecutive year amid the full-scale war, once again showing extraordinary resilience and strong results. We expect up to 60 mln tons of cereals and up to 20 mln tons of oilseeds. The harvested volumes are fully sufficient to supply food for Ukrainians and provide a stable feed base for livestock. Around two-thirds of the production will be exported, keeping Ukraine a key guarantor of global food security and a reliable partner for the world. A significant part of the produce will be processed domestically, creating added value and strengthening Ukrainian exports,” emphasized Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
Winter crop sowing in Ukraine is practically complete. Farmers planted 6.43 mln ha of winter crops, including:
Winter wheat – 4.69 mln ha
Barley – 0.59 mln ha
Rye – 0.07 mln ha
Rapeseed – 1.08 mln ha
Compared to last season, the sowing structure remains largely stable, with the main focus on winter wheat, which traditionally forms the country’s food base. This means that Ukrainian farmers have already laid the foundation for the 2026 harvest.
