Grain Ukraine-2023

Back to all events of calendar

The largest agrarian conference since the beginning of the war, Grain Ukraine-2023, will take place in Kyiv

The largest agrarian conference since the beginning of the war, Grain Ukraine-2023, will take place in Kyiv. The event will be held on May 30-31 and is organized by IdeasFirst, the TIS terminal group, and the Neptune grain terminal, with the traditional support of the Ukrainian Grain Association.

Andriy Stavnitser, co-owner of the TIS terminal group and founder of the Grain Ukraine conference, invites agricultural market titans to meet and discuss plans for the future:

“This year, perhaps every child in the world learned that their favorite breakfast comes from Ukraine. Before the war, it wasn’t so obvious, but today we are at the forefront of global food security with you. The price is high, but it has already happened. And we can turn this misfortune into an opportunity. Our voice is now louder than ever, and we can even influence the chaos that is happening now in global geopolitics.”

This year’s main topic is “Ukrainian agrarian business: development in times of war.”

At Grain Ukraine-2023, the following issues will be addressed:

  • How the agricultural sector is adapting to wartime conditions.
  • The changes taking place in logistics routes.
  • Sales forecasts for Ukrainian grain in major markets.
  • Investment prospects for deep processing in Ukraine.
  • Where to find funding for survival and development.

The relevance of the conference’s themes and the importance of discussing the future of the agrarian sector are emphasized by the President of the Ukrainian Grain Association, Mykola Gorbachov

“Despite the fact that the action of the Black Sea Grain Initiative was extended for 120 days at the end of March, this does not solve the issue of stability and predictability of the situation with the export of Ukrainian grain. It is clear that Russia will continue to hinder Ukrainian grain from entering the world market.

Alternative export routes will not help solve the problem due to significantly more expensive logistics. Therefore, until the international community restores free navigation in the Black Sea, Russia’s behavior in the region will threaten not only the export of grain from Ukraine and the stability of our grain sector, but also create other threats, such as mass migration from African and Asian countries to the EU, unrest, and political instability in all these regions. At the Grain Ukraine conference, we will be able to share our ideas and possible ways of implementing more predictable and coordinated actions.”

For the first time as part of Grain Ukraine, the New Food Summit will take place, during which experts will discuss investment opportunities and prospects for the development of agro-processing during the war.

Participants can expect important reports and fresh forecasts from market experts and officials, lively discussions and debates. The conference will feature speeches by over 50 speakers

Foreign speakers and conference partners have already confirmed their arrival at the event. The keynote speaker of this year’s Grain Ukraine is Jonathan Grange, partner at Sunstone Brokers.

The conference audience includes 300+ leading grain market representatives, as well as executive and legislative officials.
