Global soybean exports have increased by more than 11% since the beginning of 2026, reaching 3.05 mln tons (2.18 mln tons), according to analysts from Oil World.
The main soybean importers in April were China at 13.64 mln tons (11.84 mln tons), and the EU at 1.45 mln tons (1.57 mln tons).
Overall, since the beginning of 2026, global soybean export volumes increased by 6.2 mln tons year-on-year, reaching 63.71 mln tons, driven by strong demand for oilseeds. In the first four months of the year, Brazil shipped 40.24 mln tons (37.43 mln tons), the United States 17.04 mln tons (13.97 mln tons), Paraguay 3.94 mln tons (2.87 mln tons), and Canada 1.17 mln tons (1.28 mln tons).
The key global importers of soybeans are China, which purchased 38.08 mln tons (34.24 mln tons) since the beginning of the year, the EU at 4.41 mln tons (4.58 mln tons), Argentina at 3.53 mln tons (2.90 mln tons), Mexico at 2.13 mln tons (2.15 mln tons), and Egypt at 2.15 mln tons. Strong growth is also seen in Pakistan (1.06 mln tons vs 0.98 mln tons), Thailand (1.39 mln tons vs 1.15 mln tons), Vietnam (1.09 mln tons vs 0.79 mln tons), and Turkey (1.90 mln tons vs 1.90 mln tons).
