Turkey remains a key buyer of Ukrainian corn

Back to all news

Ukraine exported 2.48 million tons of corn in February. This is reported by analysts at Spike Brokers.

Turkey remains a key buyer – 802 thousand tons (32%), Spain – 477 thousand tons, Italy – 343 thousand tons, the Netherlands – 256 thousand tons. The share of four countries exceeds 75% of the volume.

The demand structure is concentrated, but diversification within the EU is wider than a month ago.

Over the week, the price of corn on the CPT Odesa market added $1 and is $213 t/t. The physical market is moving slower than CBOT due to global supply competition.

On the western border, demand from Italy for April-May remains at €186-187 FCA Chop. Logistics through western crossings operates without restrictions.

The new crop is being actively negotiated with levels of $205 CPT seaports and €182 FCA Chop (November-December delivery).
