Ukraine harvested over 36 mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agrarian Policy

As of August 9, Ukrainian agrarians already harvested 36.8 mln tonnes of early grains and pulses throughout the areas of 9.5 mln ha, or 95% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 3.86 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukraine harvested wheat throughout the areas of 6.5 mln ha (96% of the forecast), and produced 27.1 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 4.14 t/ha. At the same time, barley areas totaled 2.5 mln ha (96%), with the harvest at 8.5 mln tonnes, and the yield — 3.41 t/ha.

In addition, Ukrainian agrarians continued harvesting rye. As of the reporting date, the harvested areas reached 103 thsd ha (88%). The production volumes totaled 283 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.76 t/ha. At the same time, agrarians harvested 333 thsd tonnes of oats throughout 121 thsd ha (66%), with the yield of 2.5 t/ha.

Also, agrarians harvested 587 thsd tonnes of peas throughout 257 thsd ha (99%), with the average yield of 2.28 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, the production volumes of winter rapeseed totaled 3.1 mln tonnes. The oilseed harvested areas reached 1.2 mln ha (99%), and its average yield — 2.46 t/ha.
