Grain Ukraine Conference will be held on July 10 in Odessa in a one-day format with a limited number of guests and in compliance with all the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The organizer of the Grain Ukraine 2020 conference is Ideas First, the partners are TIS port and Neptune grain terminal. This year’s motto is Born to Grain.
“We were asked about Grain Ukraine so many times that we decided to make the conference happen this year. The market, especially in times of crisis, needs to stay connected. We respect the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, so there will be only one day, a limited number of guests and outdoor events. We will discuss the work of the land market after the entry into force of the new law, export quotas, the situation in the oil and processing market, investments,” describes the organization of the event Andrey Stavnitser, founder of Grain Ukraine, co-owner of TIS port and of Neptune grain terminal.
As part of the official Grain Ukraine 2020 program, four panel discussions will take place. During the panel on the land market, experts and officials will discuss the new law on agricultural land circulation and prospects for investors. Panel participants will discuss who will be allowed to compete for land and on what terms.
The trading panel will discuss the prospects of Ukraine in the world and the region. An overview of what is happening in the main sales markets (the European Union, Africa, Asia) and due to what it is possible to win the competition today is what is always expected from this panel. Special attention will be paid to phytosanitary standards and contract failure due to a pandemic.
The Grain Ukraine 2020 investment panel will raise the issue of investment prospects in Ukrainian agribusiness and discuss the best current trade finance programs for the agricultural sector.
An important issue for the agricultural market is the development of infrastructure. Participants of the infrastructure panel will assess the development of river transport of grain, exchange views on current investment programs in infrastructure projects, and discuss the prospects of the maritime business.
The conference will end with an evening program.
“This year we switched to a more chamber format, as international experts will not be able to come. But I think that we will be able to maintain the quality of communication, for which grain traders come to the most atmospheric event of the agricultural market every year,” says Irina Bondarenko, founder of Ideas First, co-organizer of Grain Ukraine.
The organizers will comply with all the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for such events: the density of people on the site, disinfection and ventilation of the conference hall, the use of masks, gloves and sanitizers, temperature screening.
Grain Ukraine Conference is an international industry platform for dialogue between the largest representatives of the grain market, leaders of Ukrainian agri-food companies, commercial and investment banks, logistics and commodity companies, as well as technology trendsetters. It discusses the latest trends in the agricultural market, the development of sustainable business models and the introduction of technological agricultural innovations.
