«Grain logistics and terminals of Ukraine» is a business conference dedicated to the most actual issues of the current situation on the grain logistics market in the context of opening a new terminal in the Azov region in the Mariupol sea trading port.

This year the Mariupol port celebrates its 130-th anniversary with the launch of the 1-st stage of the modern grain terminal, which has excellent prospects for turning the Azov region into an agro-industrial cluster.

The start of the new terminal’s work falls into the period when Ukraine still has the main difficult issues of grain logistics.

            On one hand, there is a clear trend to reduce the cost of transshipment in Ukrainian ports, on the other hand, stevedoring companies are closely monitoring the profitability of their business. In addition, the lack of public funding does not contribute to this process.

            At the same time, with the total volume of annual transshipment of grain in Ukrainian ports, there is an acute number of issues on the transportation of grain by rail, river and motor transport. Each modality has its strengths and weaknesses, dictated, among other things, by the characteristics of the infrastructure and the spheres of the private and public sectors.
