Winter grain planting campaign 44% completed in Ukraine -

As of October 4, Ukrainian farmers planted winter grains throughout 3.5 mln ha or 44% of the plan, informs press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

“Particularly, agrarians planted wheat throughout 3.1 mln ha (46%), barley – 252 thsd ha (25%), rye – 106 thsd ha (66%)”, – the message says.

Besides, agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 998 thsd ha or 96% of the forecast. 16 oblasts of Ukraine completed rapeseed planting.
