Ukraine harvested over 17 mln tonnes of corn – Ministry of Agrarian Policy

As of November 13, Ukraine harvested 17.356 mln tonnes of corn for grain throughout the areas of 3.395 mln ha (75% of the plan). The average yield totaled 5.11 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In addition, agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 179 thsd ha (99%), and produced 195 thsd tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 1.09 t/ha. As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 81 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 55 thsd ha (98%), with the yield at 1.47 t/ha.

Also, Ukraine harvested 11.725 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 5.86 mln ha (98%), with the average yield at 2 t/ha. The production volumes of soybeans reached 3.52 mln tonnes, the yield – 1.92 t/ha, and the harvested areas – 1.838 mln ha (92%).

Also, Ukrainian agrarians planted winter grains for the harvest-2018 throughout 6.891 mln ha (95% of the plan). In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat totaled 5.926 mln ha (96%), winter barley – 819 thsd ha (89%), and rye – 147 thsd ha (93%). Agrarians already planted winter rapeseed throughout 860 thsd ha (112%).
