Ukraine already harvested over 75 mln tonnes of grains

As of December 10, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested 75.2 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 15.2 mln ha, or 99% of the forecast, with the average yield of 4.95 t/ha, reported the information and analytical web-portal of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex.

In particular, Ukraine harvested 35.2 mln tonnes of corn throughout 4.9 mln ha (99% of the forecast), with the yield of 7.14 t/ha, 89 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 67 thsd ha (99%), with the yield of 1.33 t/ha, and 161 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 89 thsd ha (99%), with the yield of 1.81 t/ha.

As for oilseeds, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 14.6 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 5.8 mln ha (100%), with the average yield of 2.51 t/ha, and 3.7 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 1.57 mln ha (99%), with the yield of 2.35 t/ha.

At the same time, the harvest of sugar beet reached 9.8 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 44.6 t/ha, and the harvested areas of 220 thsd ha (100%).

In addition, Ukraine planted winter grains for the harvest-2020 throughout the areas of 7 mln ha, or 96% of the forecast, including winter wheat — 5.9 mln ha (95%), winter rye — 124 thsd ha (102%), and winter barley — 920 thsd ha (100%).
